as i said before, axel and roxas were friends when they were little -here they're 8 and 13 -

axel brought prince roxas in the forest during the night to show him the fireflies, in these lands they only appear during the new moon/night without moon. This is the first time that roxas can see that, as he's a prince he can't leave his castle alone... this is also the last time that axel will be with him, because of his father... and roxas doesn't know that...
obviously axel doesn't want to leave his best friend/prince, but he has to.
